Everybody has rhythm

u215648661.jpg

How many times have we passed up an opportunity to dance or drum because "I'm sorry I just don't have any rhythm.".......well folks, I don't believe that for a second. We all have rhythm. If you haven't seen the movie August Rush, please treat yourself to seeing how their is music and rhythm everywhere and we all have access to it.  Stop and listen to how many rhythms are around you everyday.....the washing machine, the clock, the fan, the crickets, and on and on and we all recognize them.  So go grab a wooden salad bowl, turn it upside down and bang away with two candle sticks and see what you come up with or for those of you who want the simple way out..........get real, real quiet.....close your eyes, and hear your heatbeat.........the mother of all rhythms........the one you have had all your life and then journey to the nearest mirror and repeat "I have a heartbeat.....I have rhythm.".......see I told you...............more to come.........

Silence is golden

silence%20lips.jpgWithout silence their would be no music ........we need the silence so our bodies can absorb the new vibrations that we have created with our voices.  When we are toning or using our voices, we are in a state of vibration that is creating new patterns in our lives.  Once these new patterns are entrained we must give them time to sink in......so listen to your voice in silence and .......ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh.............more to follow......listen, listen, listen!!

Be kind to yourself.....take your time

website%20woman%20singing%20in%20guitar.jpgToning is a practice that takes some time to develop. When we vibrate our bodies through toning there is alot happening that we do not always see on the surface.  We are changing our bodies and our holograms on a molecular level and we need to give ourselves time to adjust to these changes.  Be kind to yourself and only tone a few tones a day until you get used to the toning process.  Honor your vocal chords and let them get used to all these wonderful changes also....start with no more than 10-15 minutes a day and work up from there......as always, more to follow....tone, tone, tone!!

Breathe....breathe.......breathe

sitting%20yoga%20breathing.jpgToning can only be as successful as your breathing during the toning process.  The success of long beautiful toning sessions is a constant rhythmic breathing that enables you to fill your body with air so you can project the tones you are working on.  What I like is Diaphragmatic Breathing or breathing using your diaphragm.  When you are sitting down in a comfortable position with your back straight, your stomach should visibly be expanding and contracting as you breathe during your toning sessions. At first over exaggerate and let your stomach fill up and REALLY stick out then let your stomach collapse so your stomach physically deflates.  Placing your hand on your stomach is a great way to monitor your breathing until you become more confident.............as always, more to follow........tone, tone, tone!!
