Gratitude Rocks
ps.....I am so grateful that I still have my Gratitude Rock as I still take it out for a spin every day.
It was black, flat, and oval shaped with a beautiful amber streak running through the nicely scooped out middle part that fit my thumb exactly. This rock was mine and I knew after giving it a spin this was exactly what I wanted. I had seen many law of attraction films recently such as the The Secret and Down the Rabbit Hole, so the idea of manifesting gratitude was fresh on my mind. As I sat in this beautiful fly fishing stream in Montana after releasing a majestic Rainbow Trout, my eyes were fixed on my new Gratitude Rock. It glistened in the sunlight and stood out as if to tell me how grateful it was that I would now take this rock and fill it full of gratitude every day. It was just one of those moments. I could hear my friend Brook telling me, “Just write down these words Stan, ‘I am so grateful that………’ and fill in the blanks.” So I picked up the rock and rubbed my thumb in a circular motion over the scooped out part and started to acknowledge all that I was grateful for. “I am so grateful that I am alive, I am so grateful I have two beautiful daughters, I am so grateful that I can come up to Montana for these trips with my brothers, I am so grateful that I have Marie-Pierre in my life, I am so grateful that I create music…….and at that moment I was still with the thought “I am so grateful to be me” and with that I felt sadness and joy that after a long journey I was finally in a place where I was loving myself……..so from the musician in me……Gratitude Rocks.
