Welcome to the the
Healing Power of Sound
What are the benefits of working with sound?
We, and the world around us, are in a constant state of vibration. We are familiar with the vibrations of many things around us: from the sound of bells to a jackhammer, from shouts to whispers, from an earthquake to the rhythm of a single drum. In fact, our entire universe is composed of particles that vibrate constantly.
We are familiar with the way music affects our mood every day. We know that sound and vibrations affect us in so many ways. All of us have experienced falling asleep to the sound of a lullaby, or finding ourselves moving our feet to the rhythm of an upbeat song.
By working with sound and learning to use our voices and how to project the proper and correct frequencies in our bodies, we are able to balance our life energy and achieve the realization of abundance, health, and wellness.
Working with sound helps us:
Reduce Stress and Anxiety
Strengthen Relationships
Live a Joyful life
Increase Focus and Attention
Create a balanced, abundant and healthy life
What exactly is sound healing ?
Sound healing uses toning, chanting, or vibrations from the voice or instruments to stimulate the body's own ability to heal itself. Sound healing and music are known to boost the immune system, regulate respiration, lower blood pressure, alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote endurance. Each cell in the body is a sound resonator and has its own pulse, pattern and cycle and has it's own wisdom buried deep in it's frequencies.
The Power of Sound
Our bodies and the world around us vibrate according to a certain rhythm and frequency. We are familiar with the rhythm of our own heartbeat. We also know that certain sounds or music make us happy, sad or even angry. Sound work allows us to use a variety of techniques such as voice analysis, frequency re-balancing, toning, stretching, breathing, and drumming to unleash unconscious patterns and tap into our innate ability to be in harmony with the world. Sound is a powerful tool that can be used in a variety of ways to allow us to feel connected and embrace the joy in our lives. Sound work is safe and gentle, suitable for all ages, and does not require prior musical knowledge.
Wisdom of Sound Techniques:
Voice Analysis & Frequency Balancing
All of us are born with a full frequency range and a sense of rhythm and harmony. But most of us will loose all or some of our sound abilities as a result of environmental or personal stress. Use voice analysis software to map out your full auditory range and identify the missing frequencies. Receive a complete Voice Bio TM voice analysis report and a customized CD with auditory exercises aimed at restoring your personal frequencies and achieving balance in your life.
Drumming
Drumming is one of the most ancient forms of music requiring concentration, awareness and, if done in a group, team work. At the personal level, combine drumming with voice analysis to complement or enhance spiritual development. In a group, combine drumming exercises and the Birkman assessment tool to develop and strengthen team building.
Toning
Toning uses powerful voice and breathing exercises to access and release emotions and balance your personal frequency range. For best results, toning should be combined with either voice analysis or other forms or spiritual or guided personal work.
Bio-feedback
Bio-feedback focuses on increasing the ability to concentrate and relax. Focus, coherence and relaxation are essential to joy, tranquility, harmony and healthy interpersonal relationships. As a complement to voice analysis, coaching or a spiritual practice, bio-feedback enhances your ability to face the stressors in your lives.
Rhythmic breathing
Rhythmic breathing is the simplest, most fundamental method to increase awareness and calm the mind. Short sessions of rhythmic breathing followed by either bio-feedback or toning help clear your mind, improve your overall physical well-being and allow you to tap into your inner wisdom and clarity to promote peace and harmony in your life.
The Power of Silence
In music, the silence between each note is what makes the rhythm of the song.
Longer periods of silence produce a slower rhythm than shorter ones do.
The same is true of our daily lives. Take time each day to notice the silence in your
life. Turn off the cell phones, radio, television. Ground your feet into the earth and
take a few long breaths. Let your ears guide your mind and body into the empty,
restful space provided by silence. A few minutes of silence recharge your energy;
you come back refreshed and "tuned" to your day.
