"Connecting with our Heartbeat"

A Teambuilding Event with Drumming

drum%20clip%20art%202.jpgThisevent is for all levels of drumming including those who've never drummed before. We will start by connecting with the awareness of our own rhythm and heartbeat and learn to translate it into a simple beat and then explore how we connect and interact as a group or a team. All drummers will have a chance to unleash their energy and creativity during the powerful and creative "open drumming" phase of the session. This is an incredible event to build connection and teams. Ample time is given at the conclusion to process the event, the connection, and why we are so connected to our rhythms.

Drums and rhythm instruments will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own drums and rhythm instruments as well or maybe we can explore the area of "found sound". This is a fun, hands-on interactive "play-shop" that is guaranteed to energize, connect, relieve stress and awaken your creativity. Click for LiveVideo

"Embrace My Gold"

Life Coaching and Development Program

Embrace My Gold is a process to bring attention, awareness and intention to our behavior, personality development, emotional intelligence, change, and spirituality to provide a customized action plan for transformational change.

When we go through significant change in our lives, we sometimes loose our perspective and connection to what is truly important. This program becomes a guideline to keep focused on our desired results.

What does it mean to "Embrace My Gold":

E - Enter Awareness

M - Manifest Attention

B - Bring Clarity

R - Realize Intentions

A - Achieve Transformation

C - Change and Integrate

E - Empowerment

Enter Awareness - Awareness comes from observation. Being aware of ourselves and our behaviors, beliefs, and lifestyles becomes the foundation from which we change. Awareness is the energy that allows us to recognize, to see, to wake up to the areas of our lives that we want to change.

Manifest Attention - Attention is focusing on one area in which we have identified through our awareness process. This is where we put our energy and where we make the choice to concentrate our focus. This is one of the most important pieces in the change process.

Bring Clarity - Once we are aware and have brought our attention into focus, our clarity develops. As we develop clarity, our intentions become clear and our energy begins to focus on the real issues that are standing in the way of our growth and happiness.

Realize Intentions - Once we are aware and have clarity around where we put our attention, we can identify our real intentions. With clarity and intention comes the power to change. Intention is the focused energy within human awareness that manifests our efforts. Deepak Chopra states, "Intention is the active partner of attention; it is the way we convert automatic processes into conscious ones. Attention focuses awareness to a local perception. Intention brings about a change in that localization."

Achieve Transformation - Within change lies the opportunity to challenge our perceptions or our reality. Once we have realized our intentions, our perception or our reality are transformed as the energy of our thoughts are redirected towards the process of change. Transformation is moving from one way of being to another as our perceptions and beliefs shift and we create a new reality for ourselves.

Change and Integrate - This is the processs of bringing all the parts of us together in a holisitic manner to start doing things differently. Our actions now reflect the changes that we have brought into awareness, manifested our attention to, brought clarity around, realized the intentions of and transformed as we integrate these changes into our lives.

Empowerment -Authentic empowerment is a state of being where our intentions are manifested into a deeper understanding of ourselves. When we align our thoughts, emotions, and actions with our spirituality, we create purpose, depth, and meaningin our lives.

"Turning Conflict into Connection"

Conflicts are not only inevitable, they are also necessary for change to happen. When was the last time change happened when everybody was happy and in the groove. We fear and resist change and with that resistance comes conflict. This program takes an in-depth look at what conflicts are standing in the way of your desired results and how you can turn those conflicts into deeper and more meaningful connections. Through this process, we work with you to create a Feedback Culture where daily conflicts can be identified and dealt with using emotional intelligence and other tools to enhance connection and transformational change. We use the Birkman assessment in this process to help individuals understand their strengths, needs, and areas of stress. This is an important tool as the identification of our individual needs creates space for team connections and improved communication.

The benefits to this program are:

Reduced fear around change

Deeper more meaningful connections

Improved communications

More productive and healthy working environment

"An Awakening of the Senses"

When was the last time you tasted every morsel of your food? Walked in the rain? Danced with your eyes closed? Stuck your hands in the dirt? Heard a lullaby?

To experience the world, we must be present. To be present, we must slow down and focus our senses. Our hurried, full, busy lives rarely give us the opportunity to engage our senses in deliberate fashion. We eat while watching television. We listen to music while driving our car and talking on our cell-phones. We hug our children while replaying the drama of our days in our minds. We turn on our television sets to drown the silence of our houses. We move from house, to car, to office and back without ever feeling a change in temperature.

We invite you to join us for an exercise in conscious living. We will cover all the senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing. Through short guided meditations and unusual sensory exercises you will learn to slow down, focus your senses and experience the world in new ways.

You will feel calmer and more joyful. You will be challenged. You will feel present. You will be changed.

FAQ

What am I going to get out of this workshop?
The main purpose of the workshop is to help you gain clarity as to what you want to achieve in your life. Whether it's a new career, a relationship or whatever else you need to have clarity about. You will set the goal and we will help you get there.

Why can't I get clarity on my own?
Sure you can. But why not have fun with it? Plus, you might be surprised at what happens when someone else lends you a hand. Most of us are very good at telling ourselves stories about why we can't do something. We can't write, or play music or be in a happy relationship. Sometimes we need others to believe in us before we can believe in ourselves. The advantage of a workshop is that other people might give us ideas we might not have dared to explore.

What is a guided meditation and how does it work?
A guided meditation is a story. The story teller (the guide) tells you bits of the story and lets you make up the rest. Whatever you make up isyour own story. You don't need to tell anyone unless you want to, and youdon't need tomake up stories you don't like. You relax and let your brain make up the story. After the meditation, you get to keep what makes sense to you.

What kind of exercises will you have?
We wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. We don't ever do anything that could be dangerous or embarrassing. In fact, you will always have a choice to pass on any activity that you wouldn't feel comfortable doing. Not thatthis has ever happened to any of our workshop participants but hey! You have the option.

Will you try to have me pay for more things after or during the workshop?
Nope. No T-shirts, books, tapes, stickers or cup-cakes. Your $60 fee will cover everything.

What do I need to bring?
We suggest you wear loose comfortable clothes and bring a sweater or jacket in case the room gets cold. Bottled water is a good idea. We'llprovide all the supplies needed for the workshop.

Is this group therapy?
We are not therapists. Our workshops are meant as tools of personal growth and exploration. They are not designed to address serious issues such as abuse, addiction, depression, etc...

What if I cry during the workshop?
Oh boy! What if we cry? Sometimes we do. We think it's o.k. We bring boxes of tissue and go with the flow. We laugh a lot too.

How long is the workshop?
Our workshops last anywhere between 4 and 5 hours, with one or two breaks.

Is there an age limit?
Our workshops are not designed for children and we do not have the ability to offer childcare. We ask that you contact us before signing up any child between the age of 13 and 18 so we can discuss the appropriateness of your child's participation.

Do you take credit cards?
Sorry. We are cash or checks people. We are working on the credit card thing and should be set up very soon.

What if I have more questions.
Call or e-mail, by all means. We would love talking to you.
